Round profiled base with a central depression;

the baluster stem with cylindrical nozzle.

Engraved monogram FA on the underside,

Marks: BZ Dresden, (1741 – 73, Rosenberg No. 1675, 1806),

Master: Carl David Schrödel,H 15.3 cm, Weight 261 g.

The pair of candelsticks come from one of the six silver services that O’Byrn recorded in the inventory of the Dresden Court Silver Chamber until 1880. On page 148 of his records, he mentions “124 smoothly fashioned play candelstck marked (FA), with the monogram C.D.S.”
