Large lided Tankart, Silver-gilt from the estate of the Dukes of Bavaria

Large lidded tankard.

Likely from Northern Germany or the Baltic region,

ca 1700 | Silver, gilded. With stamped marks.

H. 22 cm, Ø 15.5 cm. 1,535 g.

Cylindrical body on three ball feet with a curved handle, hinged lid, and thumb rest. Around the body, there are C-scrolls and floral engraved decorations. On the lid, a coat of arms engraving under a helmet crest.

Provenance: from the estate of the Dukes of Bavaria.
