Simple, decorated with a geometric frieze, one engraved with the initial R in a floral wreath, the other engraved on the reverse with “EA,” the handles of blackened pearwood, the first with hallmarks on the bowl: recognition and master silversmith, and on the underside a small guarantee mark used from 1809 to 1819; the second with hallmarks on the underside: recognition and master silversmith; above: Foreign Works 1798–1809, large and medium Paris hallmarks, used from 1809 to 1819
