Fine octagonal, silver-gilt box on feet designed as claws.

In the second decade of the 18th century, a type of box appeared in Augsburg that was basically an elongated octagon.

The present box has a lively, moving floor plan, which is continued in the lid. The object is decorated with rich ornaments. original gilding.

Master: Georg III Lotter, Protestant, born 1658, master: 1688, died 1714. His widow continued the workshop for a few years.
