Small silver-gilt lidded box of outstanding quality and in excellent original condition.

In the second decade of the 18th century, a type of box appeared in Augsburg that was basically an elongated octagon.

The present small box has a lively, moving floor plan, which is continued in the lid. Regence ornaments adorn the lid.

Original gilding.

Master: Paul Solanier, born 1635 in Nuremberg, master since 1665, died 1724.
